Excellent place to stay in Porto Moniz. Location is super convenient, close to the natural pools and with enough parking spaces (either underground at the hotel, or the parking next door). Super helpful and friendly staff, willing to give recommendations for your days in Madeira. Breakfast, even though in a different building close by, was also delicious with multiple savory and sweet options. The room was spacious, with enough equipment to make your own food in the studio if you want. The bed and the pillows we also comfortable and the small terrace of the room gives enough space to relax after your excursions.

Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Casa das Proteas is located at Estrada das Covas nº8, São Jorge, Madeira Island, 50 km from Funchal. The location is excellent as a starting point for several hikes. Breakfasts were great also the view and the peaceful area. The staff were very friendly and Teresa (the owner) is a very professional and kind person. Totally recommended!

Our stay at Vale dos Ilhéus was absolutely amazing. The place is spotless, very well maintained and decorated with great taste - beautiful wooden details and a cozy bedroom make you feel at home right away. A huge highlight is the outdoor area: the garden is lovely and the view over the green hills and the town is simply breathtaking. The swing is a must, especially at sunset. It’s the perfect spot to relax - peaceful, charming and thoughtfully arranged. 🌱 Most of all, we’ll remember Fatima, the host - incredibly warm, helpful and attentive. She was always easy to reach, gave great advice and truly cared about our comfort. We highly recommend this place and would love to come back! We absolutely loved our stay here. The house and gardens are stunning, we particularly enjoyed spending time on the balcony and walking around the banana plantation. The bed was super comfy! Communication was exceptional and they were able to accommodate our early arrival time. Thank you!

The apartment had almost you might need and everything was clean. I felt comfortable using the bedspread and the towels. The beds were comfortable. A coffee would be great, but I believe this is an option for the host. One of the rooms has the window to the street and it can be a bit noisy.
