Jack and his family were so helpful from picking me up at the airport in the early hours of the morning to taking me to the best spot to get a SIM card and ATM that didn’t charge fees. I slept like a baby in the room as the bed was very comfortable. I had plenty of space in the room! Great value for money with caring and helpful hosts, I would highly recommend!

You’re close to everything central to Barranco. You’re staying above Augusto’s home so I felt very secure/safe. You get keys so you can come and go as you please. The place is spacious and has everything you need. I didn’t mind not having a kitchen—the fridge and microwave and water kettle are more than some other places. There was also a heater in each room which was appreciated as someone who runs cold and a hair dryer in the bathroom! The shower got hot quick. The breakfast was great. Augusto is a wonderful host, prompt to reply to messages and kind. He helped me with my heavy bag up and down the stairs. I will absolutely look to stay here again if I’m ever in Lima—and recommend it to folks coming. I stayed at a hotel in Miraflores when I first arrived and El Refugio was much better. I needed help with my flight that was canceled that couldnt been solved with the app, and the nice lady called the airline company with her phone and helped me arrange another flight, I had to stay an extra night and got a nice discount.
