Supermarket next door is really good, and within a 5 min walk in different directions lots of different good options for dinner. Daniel dosnt speak english but is happy to use translation apps. He showed me a few places around Iquitos at just the cost of gas and lunch. I returned for a night after my week in the jungle. He did ask if i need info on tours, but when I said I was good, it wasnt bought up again.

It is also only a five minute walk from the airport which was handy for our flight to Lima. Although it would seem inconvenient for the city, we felt that it was better to pay a few Soles for the mototaxi to get into town and also have the entertainment of the ride through the traffic. It was worth the 20 minute ride to get to this haven of tranquility.

Be aware that you have to keep windows closed at all time because of the bugs.
