Mario and his wife Julia showed us around the island and taught us about the traditions, crafts and way of life of the people of Taquile. They were so welcoming, kind and helpful, and Julia cooked an amazingly delicious meal for us in the evenings! The room was simple but clean, with enough blankets to keep us warm on the cold nights. An unforgettable experience! We really enjoyed our stay at this homestay in Taquile and had the honour of experiencing life on this quiet and amazing island!

The cook is also great, very good diners. Very good hotel to discover the lake titicaca. We highly recommend!

Staying at Sariri Lodge was one of the most interesting experiences of our trip to Peru and Bolovia. We were warmly welcomed by Isaac and his wife. They did everything to help us feeling confortable. The boat trip and fishing trip with Isaac (included in the price) is even better than the standard tours to Taquile or to Isla del Sol. I loved every moment here. The room is clean, spacious, with the best sunset view. Dinner and breakfast were excellent.

From sharing English phrases for Quechua with Ernesto to drinking local tea, watching the sunsets, to hiking the local trails, I can not recommend enough.

Great hot water and shower pressure. Quiet in the bedroom for a great sleep. Well-equipped kitchen. Very friendly staff. The value of the room for what I paid was amazing. They even came out to meet me and carry my bags when Peru Hop dropped me off.
