Amazing Desert Experience – Peaceful, Clean, and Unforgettable! I stayed at the desert camp for one night on my own, and it was truly one of the best travel experiences I’ve had. The camp itself was beautifully set up – very clean, peaceful, and with a truly magical atmosphere under the stars. What made the experience even more special was the amazing driver and guide, Ali. He was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and made me feel safe and comfortable throughout the entire stay. His passion for the desert and local culture really came through, and he made sure everything was perfect. Even though I was traveling alone, I never felt lonely – just completely relaxed and in awe of the stunning surroundings. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable desert experience! And the food was really nice too.

Our tent was cozy and comfortable, and everything was really well taken care of. But what made the experience truly special was Ali — he’s such a kind and genuine host! He made us feel completely at home. If you want a real desert experience with great vibes and an awesome host, this is the place to go. We’ll definitely come back one day!

Amazing location, the rooms are so pretty and different theme each. Very hospitable and food was exceptional!

I would recommend rent a car to the meeting point Ibrahim or his brother will meet you at a location 15 mins away you CAN NOT access with out proper off roading vehicle. It was i thin 5-10 Oman dollar. The high way from muscat to Bidday was extremely easy to drove to.

On clear days, guests can head outside to enjoy the luxury tent's outdoor fireplace or simply kick back and relax. We loved our 2 night stay with Rashid and his team. Small camp, only 6 tents which is ideal- and relatively isolated from bigger/other camps in the midst of beautiful desert dunes. The breakfasts and dinners were plentiful and delicious. Transportation from the meeting point to the camp was perfect, we followed Rashid in a rental 4x4 - so much fun. One note is probably to pay attention to the Omani National Holiday which brings tons of people out into the desert- despite all our research we missed this so things weren’t as quiet in the desert as we expected as dune bashing noise carries far…the camp was ideally placed to minimize this but better to book during the week and not on a national holiday.

The place was just amazing! A huge villa with private swimming pool, view on the mountains. The place was peaceful and relaxing, well equipped with towels, toiletries, coffee, tea, water and dattes. There was a kitchen fully equipped and clean. The host was flexible and helpful. We easily found it and it was easy to park in front of the property.

We had beautiful sunset and sunrise. We booked the dinner and breakfast which was delicious. Badr was great, he picked us up from the carpark and dropped us off to our car the next day. On the way he showed us the camels and a Bedouin camp nearby. Him and the other staff also spend time with everyone around the bonfire telling us stories about life in the desert and singing songs. The tents and bathrooms are basic but the bed is comfortable and it feels like an authentic experience. We would visit again and would like to express our gratitude to Badr for making this a great experience for us.

He arranged a small celebration in his beautiful traditional tent, surrounded by other guests, creating such a heartfelt and touching moment that I will never forget. The staff at the guest house were also exceptional, always smiling, helpful, and attentive to every need. The environment is peaceful, beautifully set. One of the highlights of my stay was the boat trip organized by Salem, where we had the chance to see dolphins in their natural habitat. It was magical and truly a once-in-a-lifetime moment. If you’re considering booking a stay at Salem’s, don’t hesitate for a second. Whether you’re looking for adventure, connection, or peaceful beauty, you’ll find it all here. I’m so grateful for the memories made and the people I met. I’ll definitely be back!
