I have been fortunate to travel to many places over the years and this is one of the most genuine experiences I have had. It is based in a local area, a lot more calm than busy Thamel and gives you more insight into how local people in Kathmandu live. You can walk into Thamel or can get a taxi/bike easily with the inDrive app. The rooms are comfortable, there is very good wifi and there is an incredible view from the rooftop. Nir and his family will really look after you, but at the same time give you as much space as you need to do your own thing. They will make it feel like your home where you can relax and whatever you do, try their meals in their kitchen…..you will not regret it! I thoroughly recommend a stay at peace homestay.

Washing machine was a great plus.

( Right in between Thamel and basantapur durbar square) is a recently renovated apartment situated in Kathmandu, 500 metres from Hanuman Dhoka. Among the facilities at this property are a shared kitchen and full-day security, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The apartment has family rooms. The owners were very very nice. They went out of their way to help me pay for the room as no card machine and I was at the end of my trip and didnt have enough cash on me and didnt want to withdraw money from the atm again and pay the 500 rupees. So the owner found a shop for me where I could pay by card machine. Very nice people

Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. The homestay is in a perfect location, with only 15 minutes walk to Thrangu Tashi Yangtse monastery. The view of the surrounding hills and villages was spectacular. The homestay staff was very attentive and provided authentic tasty food. The guy from the UK took us to look around the villages and introduced the meaningful innovative program to install water tank and pipeline for the village inhabitants. The unique experience brough us a closer look to the life of the local Tamang people.

It is located less than 1 km from Hanuman Dhoka and features full-day security. The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk, a shared kitchen and currency exchange for guests. Andrew Is the best owner i could find, friendly, smiling and always available to take care about your needs. Last day i forgot my shoes in the apartment and he permits to come back after few days to take back. No one was present in the apartment but he called the last floor family to give me keys and take shoes. Thanks for everything!
