Our host worked hard to connect with us, and to make our stay a good one. He had to balance caring for each of the people staying there. And, of course, he has his own family he must not ignore. The breakfasts he makes for us are varied, healthy, simple, but tasty. The location was perfect. We lived in a real neighborhood, which meant the dogs barked, there were sometimes odd neighbor noises, construction here and there, but everything eventually quieted down at night. I didn't fit into the house very well. I am tall and getting older, and I think it's an environment that works for the young and slightly more compact person. But, I still loved it just the same. I'd certainly stay there again if in Patan.

Takes care of anything you need and cooks authentic Nepalese food for dinner every night. He also used to be a trekking guide and has a trekking agency. Was very helpful giving us travel information on Nepal.

This rooftop studio was a great place to stay for a week in Kathmandu. It is in the historic/old city part of Kathmandu, but it's easy to get a bike or taxi nearby. The room is clean, comfortable, and furnished well. There is a kitchen, though I didn't end up using it. The bathroom is clean and modern, and it was really great to have a washing machine too. Sudarshan ji and his family are very kind and helpful! Make sure to bring earplugs, because the area gets quite loud from around 5 am onwards (roosters, dogs, temple bells, etc.) But that's part of the vibe!

A wonderful courtyard hotel in the middle of Kathmandu, centrally located and easy to find. Comfy, clean with friendly hosts!

Boasting a garden and views of mountain, Namaste Home Stay is a recently renovated guest house situated in Dhulikhel, 30 km from Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage space, along with free WiFi throughout the property. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Such a cozy, and homely place. I immediately felt safe after meeting the family and their beautiful children. The beds were incredibly comfortable, shower was great and warm, with a clean toilet, the view and location made it a 10, as the bedrooms can look to either the sunrise or sunset. And to top it off, the food was insane - best Nepali veg curry I’ve ever had.

It is located less than 1 km from Hanuman Dhoka and features full-day security. The accommodation provides a 24-hour front desk, a shared kitchen and currency exchange for guests. - Great location in city centre - Andrew was really friendly and helpful host, he knows much about tourism and hiking in the mountains - It felt a little bit like a home share, I had my privacy respected and I was allowed to have guest in my room to discuss travel plans - The place is located near to the main roads but in a small side street that I calm and not noisy - room was large and clean, kitchen and bathroom were available - The price was great for the nice stay in this place - There was a good vibe in the place, a lots of positive energy, privacy and respect.

With city views, Laxmi Homestay with main square view is situated in Bhaktapur and has a restaurant and room service. The property has quiet street views and is 200 metres from Bhaktapur Durbar Square and 12 km from Patan Durbar Square. The accommodation features airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. This homestay is located a few meters away from Durbar Square, and you get a great view of it from the rooftop. It's not a hotel; there are people actually living in the other rooms. The host, Navin, is a very nice guy who really loves what he does, and he will introduce you to his family. If you want, his mom can prepare you traditional Newari meals, and he can also be your personal tour guide, taking you to know the city and the vicinities; he showed me places I would have totally missed if I were on my own. During my stay, I was basically his buddy, met his friends, etc. Overall, the only thing I regret is not being able to stay longer; Navin is the best host ever and he made my time in Bhaktapur so interesting and meaningful.
