But the best thing was the attitude of Thilak (who clearly is the boss), his son, and his entire staff. They arranged transport from our previous accommodation and to our next accommodation. They also took us to safari with their own jeep. As for food - the breakfast, as well as dinner, was delicious. The dinner is a rice&curry buffet with spicy and non-spicy options. For lunch, there are several soups and sandwiches available. We were traveling with a picky 4yo, so this was a lifesaver.

They also have the option of massages. My safari guide, Sumudu, was absolutely amazing, very nice guy and very knowledgeable. He even took me around different areas so we weren’t with the other jeeps and he was able to spot things from far very easily! I very much enjoyed my experience here.

They also helped us organise a safari trip and gave us a king coconut on our way out. We really enjoyed our stay and the whole experience. Highly recommend.

The cottage was very charming and the garden is like a paradise. We couldn't believe we got so much for the price we paid, 10/10

There are houses to stay surrounded by the lake. The owner and the workers were so friendly. The greeted us very warmly and prepared the dinner for us. The maid explained the dishes and its preparations while making the food. They made the Srilankan pancake for us. they made us the black tea and provided some biscuits. The property owner took us for a boat ride in the evening. The place were so safe. It was the off season we visited, hence only we were at the property. But still we feel safe and sound there. We enjoyed an amazing time near to the lake. It was raining too. During night, it looks so amazing with the lights all around. The were swings to rest and the beauty of the nature was so blended with it. They had a pet called Ruby for all the pet lovers. We truly felt like home and didnt feel like to leave the place. I think everyone should take a stay here during your Srilanka visit.
