It was very much a family endeavor. Smey built the cabins himself. They were set in a lovely, clean, and well tended garden. Smey was always helpful in answering questions, suggesting restaurants etc. and we hired him for a day tour of some nearby villages, which was interesting. The Homestay is away from town, so we rented a scooter and that worked out perfectly but tuktuks are also available. All in all Tribal Homestay was a perfect place for us in Ban Lung and we felt lucky to have spent time there.

Mr. Happy organized a 3 day jungle tour for our family (with two boys 12 and 14). We had a great time together with Mr. Tho and his friend as guides. We learned so much about Kavet minority, plants to eat and to heal, fishing, using bamboo for cooking, drinking, rafting, building..., housing, farming... amazing! We really loved it to be on the trip with those guys! Highly recommend, both tour and Mr. Happy homestay 😊
