Upon entrance it was like stepping into an oasis from the narrow, but cozy streets of Lamu Town. The architecture was stunning and its aesthetics and functionality impressive. As the house is glass and roof free the natural ventilation was a constant fresh and cool breeze in 30 degrees celsius weather. The house help Jamuhuri had the kindest soul. Everything felt safe and it always felt like coming home because he was there. The house was always clean and Jamuhuri was always ready to help with anything we needed. Asante sana!

This beachfront property offers access to a patio. When staying at the guest house, guests can use private entrance. We had a magical week at Mangrove House. It’s simple but perfect, and in an absolutely ideal location. Breakfast was always delicious, and Nyevu and Harrison were so helpful and gracious. We would recommend Mangrove House to anyone looking for a unique, private, gorgeous place in Lamu.

With pool views, this accommodation provides a balcony. Each room is equipped with a patio with city views. We were picked from the airport by Safari which was extremely helpful, otherwise we would have never found the accommodation :D We were very much welcomed with some wet towers and coconut water, great after a flight on a warm weather. Everyone was extremely nice and I loved the culture of the house, we needed to wash some cloths and no money was asked, they gave us lot of recommendations and the best part: even with a short notice asking for dinner in the accommodation for that night, we had the best meal in Kenya and the best fish ever!! Please reserve at least one meal there!

We loved the flexibility of management (even with last minute issues), return boat transfers included in the price, amazing breakfast and restaurant. Fantastic staff (management, reception, cleaning team, restaurant, kitchen, guards, in short: EVERYONE): kind, attentive, all while being respectful of privacy. We have stayed elsewhere in Lamu and Kijani truly stands out. Thank you.

The bright rooms at Subira House have either a patio or a balcony and some have sea views and free Wi-Fi. Every room has a fan, a seating area, and a dining area. Mostly, I was totally relaxed and the longer O stayed, the more relaxed I became. It is very well maintained and beautifully renovated hotel in the middle of the old town of Luma. Great effort has been made to reduce its environmental footprint and it is very eco friendly.
