The bedroom is covered in beautiful, traditional tatami. The 3rd floor loft has a hammock and chairs with lovely views of the countryside, which you can also enjoy from the dining table downstairs. The kitchen is well equipped and basic condiments are provided (oil etc), so it was easy to self cater. The house has air conditioners upstairs and down as well as kerosene heaters so we were very cosy despite record amounts of snow. We parked directly out front and the watering hose did a good job keep the area clear of snow. The supplied snow shovel and brush were a life saver. Our host family were sweet, taking time to ensure we understood all the facilities and gave us gifts of local food.
