Prepared us some freshly baked buns since we were leaving before breakfast would be reasonable. Staff also gave a very nice tour of the building on arrival and answered all of our questions about Matsumoto. Would come back any day and explore the city some more from here! We didn’t get the dinner but it looked delicious from what other guests were eating. The buns were amazing

We also messaged them after booking to ask whether the room was mixed or female-only, as we were a bit concerned. We received a very quick response reassuring us that there was no need to worry and that a female-only room would be prepared for us. The owner is super friendly, and her positive energy is contagious. :) Since it’s located in an onsen town, there are plenty of opportunities to relax after a day of exploring. There is a spacious open closet to put the table and folding chairs at night. The room was really cute and nice! The common spaces were super comfortable with a cozy living room set up and kitchen. We had our own shelf in the refrigerator. I believe there are just three rooms in the house, which makes it feel like a bed and breakfast. The shower rooms are clean. Loved the laundry and dryer option. The hosts are very nice and thorough during the check in to make sure you understand the space and how everything works. Loved the location! Perfectly nestled between the castle and the art museum. Very short walk to the market shopping area.
