The guest house was a lovely half hour walk from the train station along the canal in an absolutely beautiful neighborhood. We loved strolling around the area and it was easy to get to boat rides and restaurants nearby. IKOI itself is wonderful and had everything we needed. Warm room (can't say that about every place we have stayed at), super comfortable beds and other amenities in tip top condition. The view of the garden from the cafe is honestly worth the price alone, it's breathtaking. It's hard to believe you're not in the countryside when looking out that window. Finally, I have to dedicate a paragraph of this review to Jo, the owner. He was so helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. He helped us with figuring out transportation, he called a restaurant for us to help with a reservation and he recommended some local places that ended up being the highlight of our stay in Yanagawa. I cannot say enough great things about our host, just 10/10. Overall, our stay at IKOI was wonderful and I could not recommend this place more!

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room was very comfortable and spacious enough for our family of 5. The tub on the porch was amazing. Grilling out on our front porch was very fun and the heaters made it nice and warm even in winter. We enjoyed morning yoga, fire pit s'mores and the free drinks and mocktails from the garden kitchen. There is an incredible park within walking distance. So much fun!

Owners were extremely friendly and helpful. Room was nice, beds were the most comfortable of the whole trip.

This 2-star aparthotel offers a lift and luggage storage space. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. Extremely easy check-in process with friendly staff. Great location, a quiet neighborly vibe and easily access to Gion subway, one stop away from Hakata station. We took advantage of the FamilyMart a block and a half away. The room with two beds was more spacious than any Japanese hotel I've ever stayed in. Has all the amenities you could ask for from a business hotel, including a kitchenette, washer dryer, a tub, a shower with amazing water pressure and heat. The AC was powerful and kept the space toasty at all times. We even got a little balcony! Wifi was crisp and fast. It worked even better than my home wifi for video calls. Exceptionally clean and comfortable quarters. I could not recommend this place enough to all business and leisure travelers.

The ryokan features family rooms and facilities for disabled guests. the owner is a quite person but very kind and considerate. she was one of very few accommodation-owners who speak english. 1. specially she took care of our electrical bicycles which need battery charging. she made an indoor space in a different house which is perfect. 2. also the kitchen which is well devised and like home kitchen was very nice to use. 3. the room we stayed has so nice mountain view, which was tranquil. 4. during our stay, it was heavy rain and we, bike traveller, probably made the space dusty. but she understood the situation and was generous to provide more towels to wipe water on body. 5. we vediotaped the house because her retro-renovation of the old farm house(actually looks old shop house in a farming village) was very intriguing and informative. (very japanese as well as very moderate and inexpensive)

This recently renovated guest house is located 1.6 km from Catholic Tobata Church and 1.7 km from Tobata Saint Andere Church. Guests can enjoy city views. Very comfortable and cosy guest house, calm, in a residential area but very close to market to shop for meal, a very convenient kitchen and comfortable bed with a curtain separation in the room, a nice view on the city and the bridge 🌉. I felt very good staying in this place, it was a perfect place for me to rest and enjoy walking around `
