Great views. Good food for breakfast and dinner - reasonably priced. Only 15 min drive from Petra.

The terrace, where the breakfast is served has a very beautiful view and a very beautiful sunset scene. the breakfast is served from 0530 h in the morning so that you can be at the Petra gates at 0600 h when the gates open. the owner Mr Raeed, briefs you about the minutest of details (including the relevance of “Petra by night”, charges, what’s free and what’s not, where the pitfalls can be etc) and he is ready to help you any way he can so that you have the best memories of Petra. the room and linen was absolutely clean and the room was spacious enough. this is a great hotel and definitely value for money. the recommendations given by the owner for places to eat were also very good. you will love your stay here.

Ask for one of the tents at the front of the canyon. We saw Arabian wolves ! We also greatly appreciated the endless tea and delicious dinners.

Very comfortable and clean room in a traditional style located in the Bedouin village less than 3 kilometers from Petra’s main entrance and 150 meters from the back entrance. The hosts, a lovely local family, were extremely nice and welcoming. They were happy to chat, gave us useful information and cooked delicious dinners for us when we came back from visiting the sites. It was a great pleasure to stay with them and we really enjoyed their company and warm hospitality.

Central location in the old village, cosy and friendly atmosphere in the evening around a cup of tea, excellent room, great tasty breakfast prepared by Yazeed the next morning. He even went out of his way to help us with our rented car in the morning saving us a lot of trouble. Special thanks to Yazeed and greetings to his friends, we felt like part of the family. We only stayed one night but next time in the area for sure we'll stay again at Dana Gardens.

People working there were very very kind to us ... whatever problem we had, they helped us ... basically with everything (they borrowed us wi-fi, they helped us with our health problems and more), we could not ask for better hosts (thanks to Halid and the others 🥰). We for sure will never forget what they have done for us, never ❤... the hotel is beautiful, it has a soul, the food was excellent, very tasty ... we highly recommend this one 👌

I highly recommend staying here for your visit to Petra. They only have a few rooms, so they treat each of their guests like family. I highly recommend the dinner and the lunch boxes. It's about the same price or cheaper than what you find on the streets, but it is so much more convenient and peaceful. It is a short 10-minute walk from the Petra visitor center. Remember to bring JOD. They don't accept credit card, but there is an ATM by the visitor center. We have two kids under 12 and they both ate free! We wanted to start Petra at 6 AM, so they prepared our lunch boxes for us the night before so they'd be waiting for us on our way. This really helped us beat the heat and the crowds. Our family was able to hike all the way to the Treasury and the monastery before it got hot. Pro tip: If you want the dinner (which you do) you should let them know at least a couple of hours before you want it.
