Set in Ravello, in a historic building, 1.8 km from Minori Beach, Villa Barluzzi is a recently renovated bed and breakfast with a fitness centre and garden. The property was built in 12th century and has air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony. All rooms include a terrace with views of the sea. The staff were really warm and welcoming - as well as extremely helpful. The view is one of the hero views in Ravello - which is already famous for its views. The villa is stunning - we had the huge Icarus room. We were unable to get into our preferred hotel so I chose this, hoping it would be as good, and it was indeed exceptional. My trouble is I don’t want to leave a great review because then I will have trouble booking in future! but I can’t lie - it’s a beautiful place to stay.

Gerardo and Giovanna are wonderful as hosts, dedicated, easy to contact and always eager to help. Breakfast was superlative (you just have to try their homemade panacota with pistacchio!). Staying in Residenza Amalphia was the highlight of our trip.
