Besides, the room is spacious enough for one and very clean with everything I need. What’s more, the meals served are home-made and very well organized and balanced, which is very good for health and satisfactory. Mostly importantly, the host is very decent and hospitable with very nice English capacity and being very helpful when I ask for support. I feel like home for my stay here with 2 nights. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Bodh Gaya.

Nilam Guest House is a place of cleanliness, kindness, and security. Set slightly back from the road, the guest house is more peaceful than others in the area. It is within walking distance for the Mahabodhi Temple, restaurants, and chai stalls. Just outside the guest house is a small but very active local Hindu Temple that is a place of devotion and tranquillity. Sumits mother kindly makes lovely chai with biscuits. I booked for one night and stayed for two months. I will also return early next year.

Staff on-site can arrange a shuttle service. Clean and comfortable accommodation. The bed was medium to firm and comfortable. The bed also has mosquito netting. The bathroom is basic and functional, but very clean. The standard of cleanliness is almost Japanese throughout the house. There was a desk and chair to work on with many electrical points. Room had AC and ceiling fan, but the latter was sufficient in February. The room also had a balcony. Laundry facilities. The owners are an amazing family who can communicate in English, Hindi and Japanese.
