There’s amazing street vendors for food literally every street you walk down, it’s right by the Mirador, a 5 minute walk to all the best parts of the city and 10 minutes walking to the lake. The view from the roof is beautiful. The property itself was really clean and spacious, and the beds were super comfy. I honestly can’t say enough. We loved our stay here.

Gerson and his wife are so kind and their son Abu is adorable, he even taught me some Spanish. The location is fabulous and so quiet and the rooms are so comfortable. The views are breathtaking and the showers/toilets are always spotless. You can rent water bikes from the family and Gerson is always there to give advice or call you a tuktuk. There’s even an eco sauna! It was the best part of our 2 week stay in Guatemala, we can’t wait to come back!

The accommodation is non-smoking. - The place is a bit further (yet still within walking distance) from the main touristy area. This makes it much calmer and less noisy - The weekend /weekday markets are across the street. You got a bit of an additional authenticity through those (plus you can easily buy delicious fruits) - The owner was extremely helpful with answering all of our questions about the place, the neighborhood and the town - We were also allowed to check out in the afternoon which was a huge help for us (by not having to spend hours in the summer heat while waiting for our shuttle)
