Upon arrival, Maria warmly greeted us and even kindly upgraded our room. The property is perfectly located right across from the beach. 2 minute walk and you’re at the beach! You can hear the ocean from your room. Despite being on the main road, it is very quiet. The room was clean and spacious with a lovely terrace and AC. Maria and her family made a lovely breakfast each morning - eggs, coffee, greek yogurt and honey, tomatoes on toast. Maria was so kind and helpful, even calling our cab for us back to the airport. If you’re thinking of coming to Samos and don’t know where to stay, come to Kokkari just to stay at Maria’s. I’m so happy we picked here for our vacation, thank you Maria!

The distance from the main road is enough to keep any noise away, yet the beach and the nearest tavernas are just a few steps away. The very kind host welcomed us with thoughtful gifts and showed us a convenient spot where we could park the car. The apartment is compact but very well equipped, including a fully functional kitchen. As a coffee lover, I really appreciated the choice between a capsule and drip coffee machine – a great touch! The minimalist balcony with a table was perfect for enjoying meals with a view of the Kerkis mountain range. There's also a beautiful garden with lemon trees and additional seating areas. We highly recommend this place! We were truly captivated by the island – its charming hidden spots and, above all, the warm and welcoming attitude of the locals towards tourists. We sincerely hope it retains its authentic character and doesn't become overly commercialized.

It’s a bit off the beaten track so you need a car for it, but the view is definitely worth it. Our host was just charming and welcoming, offering us homemade jam and local liquors besides a bottle of cold water already in the fridge. We had to move to a different part of the island or we would have definitely staid more.
