Wide range of drinks as well. Rooms are modern, large and very comfortable. Then the location. It’s awesome. The views are unbeatable and the place is only a short walk away from the bigger town Vilas das Pombas. The owner and her husband are some of the nicest hotel owners I’ve met. They definately went the extra mile. Highly recommend Kasa d’Vizin.

Ivandro also helped us with the taxi collectivo from/to porto novo & he showed us local grogue. For lunch & dinner you need to reserve in advance in the restaurants because all vegetables are coming from porto novoand, Ivandro also made all reservations for us. the washing machine was very nice as most of our clothes were dirty after 14 days.

You’re also close to some great hikes. The rooms are a bit more simple, but the property is clean and well-maintained. Great service and communication from the staff all around. The breakfast and dinner they serve is also delicious. I would come back here and recommend this place to friends.

The villa consists of 3 bedrooms, a living room, a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave and a coffee machine, and 3 bathrooms with a walk-in shower and a hair dryer. Towels and bed linen are offered in the villa. The property has an outdoor dining area. We were met by Lieve at the Ferry Terminal, she arranged a rental car and guided us to the villa (10 minutes from the Ferry Terminal). Lieve and Geert went out of there way to make our stay as comfortable as possibe. The Villa has been built by them with an eye for detail. The villa is very spacious, 3 spacious bedrooms, each with a toilet/bath room, in two of these rooms next to the double beds bunkbeds for two kids. In living room an additional seperate toilet on top. Also a spacious kitchen with everything you need. The swimming pool is covered every evening so it stays warm (28 Celsius). Very important in winter months, we were at some other places where swimming was only for the brave (24 C) or even unbarable (20 C).

The bed and breakfast provides a restaurant serving Cajun Creole cuisine, as well as free WiFi throughout the property. Where do I start? This place is fabulous, but even more fabulous are the hosts! Margaret and her lovely family make you feel at home as soon as you arrive. She's super attentive, cares about her guests and treated us like royalty. She prepares a magnificent breakfast every day, all home made and with local products, most from her own garden. She gave us very good advice on what to visit, which hikes to do and the best logistics to enjoy our time on the island. She pointed us to a festivity in the village nearby and recommended nice places to enjoy local food and drinks. And she cooked dinner for us every evening, every time a different dish, including a typical local stew and the famous cachupa. Everything was DELICIOUS! The house has a glorious view of the valley and the mountains in the background are just unbelievable, they seem to be taken straight out of a fantasy book! The dining area has a massive open window to the scenery and the room we had also had a big window with the same view. The location is perfect: quiet and conveniently close to Ribeira Grande, Paúl and Ponta su Sol. It was very easy to reach by car and we do recommend anyone who can afford the rental price to drive up to Margaret's house and park right in front. The roads are safe and driving is easy. There's practically no traffic and it's simple to move around. If you cannot afford a car, Margaret is also happy to give you information on how to reach her place with private transport or public, collective transport. She's just wonderful and she'll make you feel at home! Finally, the room was comfortable, clean and we had a very good sleep every night! I hope to come back soon, I left a piece of my heart here! The accommodation offers full-day security and a minimarket for guests. Great location, spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, excellent breakfast, and super friendly staff. David and the girls will go out of their way to help you have a nice stay. I spent four nights there, and it was a perfect base to explore the island from, and a relaxing place to return to after a long day of hiking. Highly recommended.

I am writing this review 21.2.2023, more than 1 month after the end of my trip to Cabo Verde, so I will not remember all details: Best was the comfort of the bed. Probably the best bed in all the many hotels and appartments. Great sleeping comfort in the double bed. I stayed alone there, it would have been a nice place for a group though. No idea if the other beds are as comfi. Very tasteful design of interior. It is a nice place to stay for a night or two, when doing hiking around. Seems every now and then there are some parties / events also.
