In the morning you can hike opposite of the road to the nature reserve for birdwatching; and there are so many species of birds! In the afternoon you can walk to the river and have a swim or dip in to it to cool off. I booked a private room with private bathroom and the rooms are very big, so you can stay with 4 persons. The hostel has a lovely view, expect Ara's and many multicolored birds in the backyard snacking from the banana's. The owner Maria is so warm and friendly, and there are 2 lovely dogs who want to be friends with you as soon as you arrive. The facilities in the kitchen are very good. Everything is super clean and tidy, value for money is superb!

The property is well located to enjoy area activities, and it makes an excellent stopover on the way to La Fortuna. The owner is beyond generous with his time and knowledge of the area. Breakfast was homemade and brought to my door.

We loved the grounds and were very happy that we chose this accommodation rather than a standard hotel.

Wendy’s place is incredible, a beautiful house, private and surrounded by nature. The nights were with perfect temperature and you sleep with the sound of nature, something we needed to get accustomed with. But we had the best sleep for 4 nights! We booked the full experience with breakfast and dinners brought dearly by Wendy’s mom, who was a bit like our mom too. If you speak a bit of spanish, this will stay as your favorite memory of the house, like for us. The waterfall of the neighbour’s property is also superb and had it just for us, is bigger than it looks on photos! We also saw some toucans from the balcony and hummingbirds. A little paradise we recommend to everyone.

We didn't have luck and it rained most of the time so we were glad that the house was so welcoming and well appointed for staying in. Definitively worth to go through these tricked ways arriving here and feeling like you're coming home. The neighbors are respectful of your privacy and it's nice to have people around just in case. You won't miss anything in Cynthia's home. So very grateful for all your kindness and care, looking forward for a next time!

There is a private entrance at the apartment for the convenience of those who stay. The apartment features family rooms. The host is friendly and understands what travelers need. The room has everything you could possibly need, and we had a good stay at this accommodation. Everything is clean and tidy. We also park our motorcycle safely. Definitely coming back again when I visit Costa Rica someday in the future.
