The hotel is very rustic and located on a functioning ranch with cows and horses and everything. It is also walking distance from the two grey desert hiking trails. The owner was really friendly and fun to chat with as well as helpful with anything we needed. The food was also some of the best hotel food we’ve had.

Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. Staff was very attentive and kind. Rooms had a lot of charm and great view on the desert. Good choice of food and very well cooked at the restaurant. Very nice and peaceful garden with natural pool. And finally the location itself is a gem far from other hotels. No sonor and visual pollution to enjoy stargazing and landscape view.

She was super helpful storing my luggage twice while I was there. Anything she could help with she did. Her breakfast is amazing and made with fresh local bread and produce (she invited me to join her buying the ingredients for breakfast around town), she set up a van to pick me up from the hostel and drive me back to Neiva, and she took her time to sit down and chat with me over coffee even though my Spanish is horrible! The hostel is literally two blocks from the town center and from there you can catch a tuk tuk to the dessert. All the beds are full size with multiple pillows. She is also friends with the local guides if you'd prefer to do a tour!

The property also has a nice pool (where we spent our afternoons and evenings). The property is situated 10 min walking from the town of Villavieja (good location). The staff was simply amazing: accommodating, hard-working, always smiling and always made us feel welcomed and at home. We will keep them in our hearts 🤍
