We were met by Charlie and his sons at the dock when we arrived from Leticia and taken to the cabins. They are a short walk from the centre of town, on a beautiful property surrounded by nature. The cabins are simple but impeccably clean, comfortable and with everything you might need. Charlie and his family helped us arrange activities, transport and meals for the three days we were there. They are some of the warmest and most welcoming people we met on our trip around South and Central America. We had a truly wonderful time staying here, and only wish we could have stayed longer. It was the highlight of our trip.

Casa amazilia is a recently renovated guest house in Leticia, where guests can makes the most of its outdoor swimming pool, open-air bath and garden. Featuring a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a barbecue. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. We felt extremely welcome and at home in Casa Amazilia. They helped out with everything: waited for us at the airport to arrange transport, brought us to the centre of town for dinner, arranged tuktuks and invited us for lunch. Quiet side of Leticia and close to the airport. Far beyond any expectation and the perfect place if you would like a more personal touch.

Among the facilities at this property are a shared kitchen and a housekeeping service, along with free WiFi throughout the property. Every room has a patio with inner courtyard views. I can’t begin to express how comfortable this hotel was! Owned by a sweet local couple, the breakfast was delicious and never the same. The sheets were clean and the room spotless. We had two fans in the room which was helpful. The room is not made of wood which made a different in keeping the mosquitos out. The upstairs deck had a breathtaking view. Loved all the hammocks! We will return!

An American breakfast is available at the guest house. At the property, there is an on-site family-friendly restaurant serving dinner and a selection of vegetarian options. We had a very good time here. We are Canadian so we only stayed two nights because we are not accustomed to the heat (no A/C) but other than that we would have enjoyed doing more of the activities. We enjoyed the dolphins and a walk in town. The people in the community were friendly and welcoming and there is a little museum which is very interesting to get a sense of the community. At the hotel Elizabetta and her colleagues took good care of us when we needed something. We borrowed binoculars, and they ran to the store for us once when we asked for a soda (turns out they don’t carry that, just water). It’s an ecolodge, so if you don’t come expecting a 5 star hotel, and you can be a gracious guest in a native community, you will enjoy. Speaking a little Spanish will really helped us.

The spacious apartment has 4 bedrooms, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a fully equipped kitchen with an oven and a microwave, a washing machine, and 2 bathrooms with a shower. Towels and bed linen are available in the apartment. For added privacy, the accommodation features a private entrance. This is a nice condo in easy walking distance to many stores, parks and restaurants. We stayed there after a multi-day excursion in the jungle and it suited our needs perfectly. For those from the US, the washing machine is a bit odd, but we figured it out. It's worth noting that one of the bedrooms is outside of the AC zone. All of the beds are comfortable and the wifi was good. The host was very responsive.

A very beautiful and unique place, especially for the sunset! The hole family who run the place is very kindful and helpful. You can book a completely program with a variety of experiences, in the forest, the river and an indigenious community. But also some single adventures. The guide is a local Ticuna, so you can learn a lot about the culture. I highly recommend the place ;)

It offered an authentic glimpse into the daily life of the Macedonia community. We had incredible adventures, including a night walk through the jungle, a canoe ride on the river, and an amazing trip to a neighboring community in Peru. The chance to observe the stunning nature up close was truly special. The food was delicious, and the comfort exceeded our expectations. If only we could have stayed longer!
