The breakfast cooked by the owner was delicious and he even packed us some food when we had to catch an early train.

I love this place, every single thing. The owners are just so present, helpful, kind, calm, and show great hospitality. It felt like we were staying at their home and experiencing how life is in Dali. They gave us great recommendations on where to visit and what to do to enjoy Dali, and most importantly, take it slow. We got a delux double room. It is clean, comfortable, spacious, and beautifully decorated with lots of details showing the owners put a lot of thoughts on this place. Theres a lot of personal touches. The building itself has 3 outdoor and 1 indoor areas for sitting and relaxing. It was a pity we were staying for 2 nights only and didn't get a chance to enjoy the areas. Totally recommend you to stay here, esp if you prefer more personal cute boutique hotels to big chains and commercial hotels. Both owners are also very used to international tourists and speak English, so it is a huge plus. Big thanks to the owners for such a wonderful stay. And look forward to next time visiting you again.

The guest house is lovely, with a traditional flair and mesmerising views. What also made it special were the family running the guest house. They were also very kind, and I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations. The location is perfect and convenient for hiking. The food selection was great as well. Hope to come again someday.

Enjoyable breakfast with a good mix of toast, jam, butter, mushrooms, bananas and bacon plus coffee. Mattress was heated. Room was clean and decorated in a Tibetan style. Location - excellent as it was in the old town. Best of all, the host, Rose, helped us with arranging transportation from /to the train station and advising us of transport to the monastery.

Jun Bo Xuan Boutique is a charming guesthouse located in the centre of Lijiang Old Town, only a 5-minute walk from Sifang Street. It boasts traditional Naxi style architecture and well-decorated rooms with free Wi-Fi in the entire hotel. This stay was absolutely lovely. It has a beautiful courtyard with a fishpond and running water that gently rocks you to sleep at night. The room was very clean and tidy, comfortable and had all the required amenities . The best part was the owners. It is a family business and the care and attention given by them shows how much they care for it and their customers. We were welcomed with tea upon arrival, tasted many different types, chatted about tea and Chinese culture. They prepared breakfast to-go for us when we went early morning on a hike (without us asking) and helped us book bus tickets, drivers to and from airport etc. They also helped us order things online and helped with any request or question. It was a great and welcoming experience and I suggest anyone to try it, they are just lovely. Be sure to not pass on the tea when offered by the passionate owner, it’s quite an experience.
