Overall, a great experience. I was met by Kai, who took me to my room, and explained everything, including with a lever-arch file of notes. He checked that I had everything I needed, and then left. I didn't need to contact him, but I had all his contact details in case I did. It's a large enough room with beds, a table and a well-enough equipped kitchen, and a fan in case it gets a bit hot. There is enough hanging space in the cupboard. The bathroom is shared with another room (I knew that at the time of booking), and that might not suit everybody, but it was perfectly fine with me. The location is great: about 2-3 blocks from a tram intersection for the Number 1 tram that goes to the main station and to the Messe Convention centre. Other trams are also there, but I did not use them. There are also two largish grocery stores in the vicinity of the tram station.

Apartment is well-stocked with paper products, coffee capsules, dishwasher tablets so you do not have to resupply yourself. Much appreciated! No 'departure chores,' a bonus in my book as so many places have a list of must-dos when you are leaving. Convenient to tram and grocery, great WIFI, very cozy but not cramped. We used the Basel card every day for free tram and bus, a nice perk.
