The property was clean and as on the pictures. It lies centrally in tam coc, right next to lovely restaurants, cafes and spas. The pool is pretty but it was a bit too cold during our stay to enjoy it. A number of attractions are also reachable by foot or bike. The host is lovely and so helpful! We got a map of all the interesting spots nearby and it was super easy to rent a bike too (motorbike also available) The laundry service was fast and the breakfast tasty as well! There was AC and heat in the unit. I would absolutely recommend staying here.

It is a beautiful hidden place with only a small amount of houses to stay. It is a very beautiful and peaceful. Also, the hosts were really friendly and warm. We used google translate quite a lot to communicate and that went very smooth. They are very hard working people and sweet, and did everything to make our 4 night stay as good as possible. In the morning there are beautiful sounds of birds and an amazing breakfast, which varies a bit every morning. The swimmingpool is great and we rented both scooters and bikes with the hosts, which were working fine. All in all, this place has been our most favorite place to stay over the past two months.

We arrived super early around 5am and we could sleep in the house before our room was ready. The family is amazing and during whole stay we felt like part of it. They helped us to arrange tour around Ninh Binh and bus tickets, invited us for family dinner, we tried their own happy water and was offered to use a pool next door. There is an option for free bicycle rent and Bahn Mi for the breakfast was delicious oh my god! as was the coffee. Rooms are big and clean. We loved it!

What a wonderful, peaceful, green, hidden gem in Ninh Bình! Nhà Lúa only opened in April 2023 and we are so lucky we got to spend a few nights here. Hoang and his family built this little sanctuary with so much love and attention to detail. From the wooden furniture to the paintings and hand-woven lamp shades, it all harmoniously fits together and creates a calming and inviting atmosphere. Needless to say that the room, private bathroom, and common spaces are all well-kept and clean. Our room was airy with very high ceilings and a big king sized bed, with great bedding. It also had a big fridge and a kettle. While the location is more remote than other homestays and hotels in Ninh Binh, you can borrow bikes or Hoang will easily organise taxis. And for anyone travelling through Viet Nam on a motorbike, this is definitely a great base from which to explore Ninh Binh and a perfect place to recharge for a night or two. Nhà Lúa is also only a 15min bike ride away from Vân Long, which is a much less touristy boat ride than Trang An or Tam Coc. While breakfast is included and cooked to order (we were given three options to choose from), Hoang and his family also offer a lunch and dinner menu, which are equally delicious! Above all, we want to thank Hoang and his family for the hospitality. We were met with such warmth and care, never overbearing but always wanting to make sure we had everything we needed. Hoang is easily one of the kindest, honest, dedicated, and most hard-working people we've met and we wish him and his family all the very best! If you are visiting Ninh Binh, we can wholeheartedly recommend Nhà Lúa.

Loved my stay here, the host family are the loveliest people you can imagine - they gave me great advice on what to see around Ninh Bình considering my time available and whenever you were just chilling outside your room they would bring you fresh juice and fruits for free. Location is perfect as it is 2 mins walk away from the main street with all the restaurants and bars yet quiet overlooking some rice fields and mountains (amazing view). Very comfortable bed, overall great value for money and also motorbikes and bicycles are available to rent.

My friend and I stayed at tam coc mandala villas for two nights in February. Our night bus arrived at 4 in the morning and the owner was so accommodating, we rang him before hand and said we would be there at that time and he woke up for us and showed us to our room and with no problems. The room was lovely, so quiet and comfortable, location incredible. Right in the middle of the mountains. We were so tired but we hired bicycles from the villa and had the best day cycling through the mountains. The owner told us a route and where to find caves and temples along the way, he gave us vegetarian restaurant recommendations nearby. Chatting to the owner and his sister at breakfast, we told them we were thinking of doing the ha Giang loop (motorbike tour up further north). His sister sat down with us, said she had a friend who worked at jasmine tours, and sorted us a bus up there, the tour itself, and a bus back to Hanoi after. Incredibly helpful and it ended up being one of the most incredible things I’ve done in my life. And with a discount! We are so grateful for the crew at mandala villas. Everyone was all smiles and so lovely, the owner even gave us a lift to the bus station that morning. Thank you for making our trip more memorable and special, would recommend to anyone thinking of going to Ninh binh, and will absolutely be staying there again myself one day.
