The owner/attendant is a very kind person. He answered all our questions and helped us with directions to where we could catch a local bus to the waterfalls. He even directed us to the best non pork restaurants in town. The accommodation is the best we were able to cook breakfast for ourselves in their well equipped kitchen.

We had a great time in the hostel. We booked one night and the lady was super helpfull, she told us what to do in Cao Bang and how to go to the waterfall and cave. We were alone in the dorms. The bathroom was clean. Her husband even took us to the bus station!

Service level above and beyond expectations. We forgot an e-reader in a drawer, and Mina went out of their way to coordinate delivery to a future destination of ours, so we can reunite with our lost gadget. Much appreciated! Cao Bang is a bit away from the beaten tourist path, which is nice. You will need to drive a bit to get to the attractions though.

This was by far the best place I stayed in Vietnam. The room was very cozy, with a super comfortable bed, a nice little veranda, and great value for money. The property is set in a calm neighborhood with a lovely garden and friendly dogs, which makes it feel even more like home. The real highlight, however, was the host. I was warmly welcomed with fresh watermelon, and in the evening he invited me to join him and his friends for an amazing homemade dinner — with dishes I have not seen anywhere else in Vietnam, plus cold beer and great conversations. He also shared fantastic recommendations for food and hidden attractions in the area that I definitely wouldn’t have found on my own. I absolutely recommend staying here and will definitely return when I’m back in Cao Bang!

They welcomed us like we were family, we met a lot of other travellers and had a couple of nights of delicious food, music and discussion. The host was so incredibly kind and her family were so sweet and relaxed. I am vegetarian and asked her if it was possible for some veg only dishes in advance, she prepared a lot of lovely dishes for me which was so kind as I know everyone else ate meat. It was very beautiful around the area. It was so wonderful to see some of their traditional clothes and the host also played us some traditional music. I would recommend 100% for a local and authentic Vietnamese experience. ♥️
