great location if you have a hire car and want to visit the coast (eg Nantucket) but also fairly close to the subway to get the red line into Boston town (and avoid driving in the busy traffic). perfect living room area with TV and lots of good channels for chilling out with the family after a busy day of sight-seeing. well equipped kitchen with great coffee machine and fridge with ice and water dispenser. lots of space for us to get a decent-sized bedroom each (we were a family of four). the wonderful Granite Street cafe was 5 minutes walk - lovely staff - and a great way to start our day with a traditional breakfast (what a selection on the menu!). There was a 7 11 shop also 5 minutes walk for initial supplies when we arrived. then a great larger walgreen supermarket 5 minutes drive with a pharmacy next door on granite street. and an excellent Chinese carry out place nearby too (China chopsticks). highly recommend the Fat Cat restaurant in nearby Quincy centre: huge portions of delicious food. the host was very helpful and communicated promptly throughout. highly recommend visits to Scituate (gorgeous place!) and Nantasket Beach (golden sand!). plus if you can get to Nantucket, cycle up to Sconset (so beautiful!).

Warm welcoming family, chatty, interesting and friendly, but not invasive. Very quiet house, we hardly heard anyone during our 9-night stay, despite all the wooden floors. The location is not in a main tourist area, felt safe and was easily accessible on public transpoprt or ~1/2 hour walk to the city. There appears to be a lot of house-rules, but don't be put off by them, they all make sense, are easy to follow and are what makes this house such a lovely place to stay. I would certainly choose here if I come to Boston again and would highly recommend it to anyone visting as a good value alternative over other very expensive places. PS: The bed and duvet were extremely comfortable, I had some of my best sleep ever!

We had a great stay here, Moni was really friendly and had lots of great tips and general conversation - we even got lucky enough to try some of her homemade borscht! It’s a short walk to the T station so you can be in downtown Boston within 20 minutes of leaving your room. Definitely recommend
