I stayed for a conference since the conference hotel was booked and I’m so glad I did. My room had a cozy fireplace and a stunning view of the bay. The whole property is charming, as are the staff. Plenty of nooks to settle into in the public areas, too, though I didn’t have time for that. This is a lovely inn, and I’ve already rebooked for next year.

The accommodation was just what we were looking for. The hospitality and welcome was exceptional. We were sorry we weren’t able to stay for breakfast as we had to leave earlier than 9am but thank you so much for the lovely goody bag (lovely muffins) that we took with us along with some freshly brewed coffee in a travel cup. Everything at The Inn has been carefully thought out to make customers feel welcome.

The location is fabulous, right by the beach, and the property is just stunning. Upon arrival we were greeted with a cheese and wine hour as well as three kinds of cookies in the dining area. The room itself was HUGE and really beautiful, with a comfortable bed, two sitting areas, a fireplace, a spa bath and a shower. I was honestly floored. Also, breakfast was absolutely DELICIOUS. Those blueberry pancakes are amazing.

A great guest house within walking distance of restaurants and the coast. Our room was perfect for 3... two sinks and a decent shower! The simple breakfast brought to our room each morning saved having to find somewhere else. Parking was straightforward either in the parking area or on the street.

I booked the room for 2nights. I didn't expect that we would have such a pleasure stay. Very kind personel, clean cozy rooms in schabby chic style, friendly atmosfere, good breakfasts, coffee and tea available. Every day there is information about what will be served for breakfast the next day. Angela was so kind to welcome us even though we came late. She gave us a list of restaurants that she suggests. Thanks to her we found one- really good Italian restaurant, excellent choice, resonable prices ( Il vecchio). Thank You for your hospitality and kindness!

What a wonderful place! Staff were fantastic, extremely welcoming and willing to give all the support needed. The room is not only cosy but also very charming - we even canceled our restaurant reservation to stay in the room with wine and cheese to celebrate my husband's birthday. Breakfast was very yummy! Location is great as well - 5 minutes walk to shops and restaurants.

Fantastic and very kind service. The room was very big. The place is dog friendly. Dog cannot be left alone in the the room, but the breakfast can be taken to the room. Carmel Country Inn is providing a list of dog friendly restaurants. Recommended places were great and we really enjoy that list.

Do not come here if you want swanky smart modern. But if you want clean comfortable good value with easy parking this place is a gem. The buffet breakfast was excellent (waffles and banana a real winner with some of our group) and the wine in the evenings a winner with others. There is also a great restaurant the Fish Wife a short walk from the property, and you can connect with great electric bike tours with Big Sur Adventures.
