We were just arrived at Kilimanjaro airport and, long story short, the guy of the homestay that we initially had booked in Moshi didn’t show up, so we had no pick up, no place to sleep, and no activities for the day after. We made a last minute booking at Home Feeling Kilimanjaro and Mr Walter was from the beginning super kind and helpful. We were accomodate at Neneu which is Mr Walter’s other property, very close to Home feeling. The girl who welcomed us with fresh fruit juice was also super nice. Mr Walter helped us reorganize the Materuni waterfall and coffee tour for the morning after as per our original plan, helping us forget all the stress of our arrival. Place is super nice, surrounded by nature, room was spacious and clean. The only thing was that there was not hot water and area can get quite chill at night. Mr Walter woke us up at 6:30 am because there was just the perfect view of Kilimanjaro from the backyard. I can’t thank him enough for that since the early morning view was our main reason to visit Moshi’s area in the first place (we were just so tired that we forgot to put the alarm ourselves). After that the perfect breakfast was ready for us. I would also recommend to let Mr Walter arrange tours and activities in the area, we had a wonderful day at the waterfalls and coffee plantation with local guides. Before leaving we had time so Mr Walter brought us to Home Feeling to show us this property which looked as a super nice place to stay as well (pictures available). If you’re going to Moshi I can’t recommend enough one of Mr Walter’s properties. Asante sana for everything!

The location was perfect! I could walks down the block to my early morning bus departure and we had a view of Kili! I ordered traditional Tanzanian dinner and it was DELICIOUS! Breakfast was lovely as well.

Perfect view of Mt Kilimanjaro. Besides the breakfast, they made us awesome traditional meals. Materuni Homes is a whole experience besides a comfortable stay. The green gardens, hike down to the waterfall, view of the mountain while having a drink or just sipping a coffee freshly brewed from the kitchen.

The room was too big and it was very usefull to organize the things before climbing kilimanjaro. The host Peter was also very kind and helpfull with everything! He also pick us up at the airport, helped us with laundry, ordered food for us in the last day and also took us to Arusha after the climbing for a very resoanable price compared to other transfers. After this accomodation we went to Arusha in a hidden property, that was very hard to find and Peter was very patient asking for local direction till reach the place. It was awesome to count on him! Peter also has an amazing shop in Moshi called Mamma Africa that you must visit!
