Emanuel and Mileki took care of us around the clock and fulfilled our every wish. Whether it was short-term planned excursions or errands of all kinds, the two of them fulfilled it in an uncomplicated way. Since Emanuel and Mileki are authorized to conduct guided tours in the nearby national parks, they have made unforgettable safaris possible for us in a very personal way. Especially nice was the opportunity to get in touch with the local population, as Emanuel and Mileki know everyone in Karatu and are very popular everywhere, which is also due to the fact that they are very involved in social projects in Karatu. By the way: You won't find a better transistor than at Sonofjohnhomestay!!! ;) Conclusion: We will definitely come back to Sonofjohnhomestay!

We enjoyed our stay at this very quiet and comfortable place very much and even extanded it for some days. Perfect for day trips to lake manyara and ngorongoro national parks. Staff is very helpful and even arranged a laundry service for us.

Athanas was an exceptional host, taking the phrase “make yourself at home” to a new level. We stayed one night before starting our Safari and he was so hospitable: offering to wash our clothes, drive us to dinner and make us breakfast in the morning. Our room was clean and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Could not recommend staying here enough!

The location is in a beautiful , natural setting just away from the main road, however close enough to walk to town for shopping. The house is spacious and offered all we needed for a self sufficient stay. Avocados fall from the garden tree, and the Hondo Hondo birds and monkeys were a joy to watch in the early evening.
