Amazing accomodations. The same as the pictures shown. Really great value for money. Paola, the host, si wonderful- taking care and doing the best. Residence is very nice, apartment is large, very good equipped kitchen, huge terrace. Close to the beach, and two pools are the best! Breakfast are sweet, bread, buns, jam, chocolate, juice, milk yogurt. Little minimarket is on the main road, also you can buy the a fresh fruit from residents. We spent there 6 nights.

A hidden gem in Jambiani Beach. For us, the decision on where to spend our 4 days in Jambiani was between three different hotels. I am so glad we decided to stay at Zanzistar Lodge. This was also by far the cheapest out of the three options. The value for money can´t be beaten. We especially enjoyed the outside hammocks, the beach, the breakfast, the staff, the drinks and the cozy banana garden. Peter, one of the two managers, personally showed us every room. The luggage was taken care of by the staff and we even were invited to a welcome drink as we arrived. The beach bar has excellent food, great drinks and a perfect beach vibe. The beach was our favorite of all the beaches on the island. We went to Matemwe, Nungwi, Kendwa and Kizimkazi, but Jambiani was by far our favorite. The numerous colors of green and blue in the ocean is just spectacular. Thank you to all the staff that went out of their way to make us feel at home and took care of all of our needs. Take good care of them, as it is the people that make places like Zanzistar Lodge worth every penny. For us, we personally enjoy the small boutique hotels over the big resorts. The hospitality here was nothing else than outstanding. We hope to be back sometime in the near future.

Staff was the best. Pool is beautiful and the temperature of the water perfect. Room was spacious and the airco worked good. I had a beautiful private terras overlooking pool and a view of the ocean. They put some sun beds right on the beach what I loved a lot. They also harvest coconuts of the property trees and serve them totally fresh.

Everything!! The room was well decorated, comfortable, big, the garden was clean and tidy... The area was quiet and just in front of the sea. We could hear the waves from the bed. Stefania was really helpful, gave us some useful tips and the day we left she let us check-out later than expected. The breakfast was amazing with a lot of variety, delicious homemade jam and smoothies and very abundant. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They ensured we had a nice stay and they kept cleaning all the corners of the hotel and the restaurant. The enjoyed the pizzas at the restaurant! We would really recommend it! Thanks for everything :) We felt like at home!

A beautiful and peaceful gem in Jambiani. Amazing architecture, surrounded by a well kept garden with a clean apartment and relaxing private pools to cool off after a hot beach day. The apartment includes a little kitchen equipped with basic dishes, utensils, stove and fridge. You start your day with a scrumptious well prepared breakfast prepared by Zena and Happy. Mr Alex(the owner) was always onsite with a warm welcoming vibe. He checked up on guests and offered friendly advise. We felt very safe on the property as it had a 24 hour security guards Maximilion and Samual. Both guards always greeted with a smile. As a hijab muslim couple we found this property perfect for enjoying the amenities while still being able to maintain hijab. We pray that Mr Alex and his team grow from strength to strength.
