Mr Shu and his assistant waited for us as we cycled in in a thunderstorm and were the kindest in drying out stuff and warming our hearts. I said it as the time and it remains true now: they make the best food in Taiwan, both dinner and breakfast.

A very unique, random but cool place in a remote "village". To get there, you cross the bridge over the river with a stunning view. It's close to beautiful hikes and they provide a solid healthy breakfast. Lunch and dinner as well if you want, with veggies from their own garden. Downstairs is filled with taiwanese artifacts and statues and upstairs is a gallery. It's very relaxed and an experience to stay here if you love hiking! The staff was super friendly and welcoming! A bit over 2hrs from Taichung with a direct bus to Lileng, 7 minute walk from bus stop Lileng.

This is a hidden gem! The room is spacious and comfortable, with a great view. The host is very friendly and the house cat is sooo cute! Breakfast was also delicious and plentiful. We had a very relaxing stay and would love to return!

Absolutely everything. Host went above and beyond expectations- even help us grab food from the town as we didn’t drive. Due to typhoon with our flight change we need to adjust our dates staying there, the hosts provided help with the change. The hosts family are genuinely kind people run this nice ,cozy and peaceful place. Room was spacious , clean, quiet and a real gem in the woods.
