The location is a little remote but stunning. It's peaceful, quite, dreamy, tranquil with a mesmerizing view, yet less than 30 min from the center of Tavira with its restaurants and beaches. The staff was superb, gentle and kind. They provided us with very useful tips on the destination and welcomed us with a chilled bottle of wine. Definetly recommended.

Perfection in Tavira – The Ultimate Holiday Home! We’ve just returned from the most amazing stay at this incredible holiday house in Tavira, and we honestly wouldn’t change a single thing – it was perfect! The house itself is stunning – designed across three spacious floors, it’s finished to a very high spec with everything you could possibly need and more. Air conditioning runs throughout, which kept the entire home beautifully cool even during the hottest days. There are three huge, modern bathrooms which made it so easy for everyone to get ready without any queues – such a luxury! The location is ideal – tucked away just enough from the main streets to be peaceful and quiet at night, yet only a short stroll to all the best bars, restaurants, shops and the charming old town. Tavira is truly a dream destination: cobbled streets, beautiful architecture, fantastic dining options, lively markets, and plenty of boutique shops. A highlight for us was the short boat ride to Tavira Island – home to the most stunning, golden beach we’ve ever seen. It’s incredibly clean, family-friendly, with loads of great places to eat, rent sunbeds, and even free, spotless toilets – a rare find! The house is stocked better than any holiday rental we’ve stayed in – from Tupperware and ice packs to a cool bag ready for beach days. There are two terraces: one on the ground floor that’s shaded and perfect for alfresco meals, and a gorgeous rooftop terrace ideal for sunbathing or enjoying a quiet drink in the evening. The host was absolutely fantastic – brilliant communication from the start, sending us helpful info on WhatsApp before we even arrived, including market days and itinerary suggestions. They were super flexible, kindly letting us drop our bags early and check in ahead of time, which made our arrival stress-free. We genuinely couldn’t have asked for more. If you're heading to Tavira, this is the place to stay. We already can’t wait to come back!

The owner is lovely, an excellent communicator and speaks and writes in perfect English. She even picked us up at the bus station. That's a first ever for us. The apartment is close to the bus station and steps away from everything. The apartment, appliances, pots, etc were all very very clean, and we have very high standards. It is very bright and airy. The shower was one of the we've ever had anywhere in Europe. Everything was perfect for us. The photographs of the apartment are accurate and maybe don't do it justice. We would highly recommend staying here.

Casa do Alto is a first class accommodation. Everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay was provided and the standard within the property was faultless. Mario was really helpful and let us leave our luggage there before check-in time 🕰️ until the cleaning was complete. The location is quiet. The house was spotless and we will definitely be back.
