This is not just some accommodation, this is home. Emina made us feel very welcomed at her house and along with the unique architecture, the surroundings and also other lovely guests, this was an experience we will never forget. Wish we had more time to spend here. We spent one night on our way from Muscat to Jebel Shams. The rooms are simple but clean, the bathroom was well equipped. Incredible views waited for us on the rooftop along with pet dogs making us company. I have to admit the breakfast was rather smaller/simpler but everybody has different taste, so it’s hard to please all. Hoping to come sometime again!

Old house is located just next to ruins, so cool. Room is very nice, has all facilities needed it's quiet, there's also refridgerator and coffee and bottled water are free to take at all times. Also very nice rooftop terrace. Polite and helpful receptionist.

The warm hospitality here was excellent! We had a very comfortable two-day stay. Lovely views from the rooftop, where it’s set up for enjoying the surrounds with tables/chairs. Easy parking; walking distance to the ruins of the old village, the museum and the wadi/palm grove. Great aircon and wifi. Highly recommended!

Our stay at this accommodation in the Alhambra was one of the most serene and enchanting parts of our trip. Every morning, even before opening my eyes, I would open the old wooden window by the bed to let the light fall on my face and savor the warmth of the sun. In the evenings, I would sit on the swing on the rooftop, gazing at the delightful sunset and the beautiful palm trees. The host was exceptionally friendly and helpful, and their suggestions were always spot-on. Staying here felt like living within history itself—everything was clean, traditional, and beautiful. I highly recommend this place.

Location: beautiful site in the middle of the date palms. Go up to the roof to look across the tree canopy towards the mountains. Walk late in the evening or early in the morning along the surrounding paths and roads. Explore the ruins of the Old Hamra. Very peaceful. The building is a great example of traditional mud brick construction.
