When we arrived our host was out but she had left a note on the door telling us that it was open and we should make ourselves at home. She came back a few minutes later and explained whatever needed explaining. GMH Homestay is a little outside Blenheim so it's not a great area for walking around but one can get into the (small) town in a few minutes' drive.

Fantastic property. Units are thoughtfully stocked, wonderfully decorated and super comfortable and impeccably clean. Wish we could have stayed longer. Great views of vineyards and friendly sheep and deer. They offer to arrange in-room evening meals, the meat and cheese board was perfect.

We were a group of 4 adults (2 couples) who had booked two cabins. We didn't read the fineprint on booking.com and were surprised to find that the cabins have communal toilets and bathrooms. The hosts were very warm and welcoming. We were very fortunate they upgraded our rooms to a cottage room which was just 'perfect'. It had all the amenities we needed, plus a beautiful rivulet that flows from right in front of cottage. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend the cottage!

This was the best stay on our 4-week holiday to NZ. Everything was perfect. The bed, the bathroom, the kitchen was all superb. Cannot recommend this place anymore highly. Jonathan and Nataysha are excellent hosts. We wandered around the garden which is just lovely. You can pick oranges and mandarins to consume as you wish, and they were delightful. Breakfast was included as well. Parking is just outside the room which are all little separate villas, so you are a long way from your neighbours.
