It was a beautiful setting and the safari tents and recreational areas were really comfortable and blended in so well with the surroundings. The experience feels very special, authentic to the local area, and not flashy. The staff were incredibly friendly, kind and genuine. They went the extra mile at every turn. The plunge pool outside our tent was such a refreshing and welcome feature. We loved the breakfast and meals, and had such a memorable stay that our family won’t forget! Special mention to Bandara and his team for wonderful hospitality and food. Big thanks and kudos to our leopard spotting guide Dinesh (spelling?) and our super safe driver/guide. We had a wonderful trip to Yala National park and Tribe Yala made the whole experience even more memorable.

What an incredible stay! The room was really clean, and the breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious. The highlight of our stay was the safari organized by the host. My friend fell ill, so it was a delightful surprise that the host accompanied me on the safari. The host's extensive knowledge of birds was truly remarkable, and I learned so much about the fascinating birdlife in Yala. We loved the entire experience of being looked after by the owner Nilantha and Elizabeth and all the staff in such a lovely way but also being in such a simple and authentic environment. The dinner under the stars was standout. The food was great. The great conversations were so wonderful. The whole day safari was something we will always remember. Our family recently visited Makini Bush Camp and we had an amazing time. The staff's kindness and helpfulness made our stay truly special. We were thrilled to witness incredible wildlife sightings, including graceful elephants, playful monkeys, and colorful birds. And the highlight of our trip was a breathtaking leopard sighting that left us in awe. The service provided was exceptional, and the staff went out of their way to engage our children. The cozy tented chalet allowed us to connect with nature while enjoying the comforts of a clean and well-maintained accommodation. If you are looking for a place full of peace and quiet, this little paradise is just the thing. Hansa and his wife are lovely and helpful hosts who take very good care of you, making you feel at home. The food was really delicious and the beach was relaxing and so empty that you had it to yourself. The rooms are simple but have everything you need. Such a cool place in the forest, next to the owners own vegetable farm. The owner and his family cooked amazing meals and showed us around to a nearby lake and their farm. I even got to pet their puppies! The host arranged a safari Jeep run by his brother, and the safari was cool, saw elephants, crocodiles, leopard, deers and buffalos. I really liked the vibe at this place and the feeling of being in the wilderness. the beds were very comfy and everything was so clean. Really recommend!
