We, my girlfriend and I, have experienced our stay as a wonderful journey. When we arrived, we were faced with a closed gate, but within seconds the owner arrived. After checking in, we entered the room – perfect! A nice big bed, a clean and spacious bathroom, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and everything you could need! After having a little chat, the hotel owner asked about our plans. We mentioned that we came for the nature and tranquility, and without hesitation, he offered to show us around the area. This was the start of an experience we will never forget. 🙏 First, we went to a small waterfall, very local with no tourists – just some local youngsters hanging out who even offered us a beer. Then he took us to Diyaluma Falls – what a massive waterfall that was! He offered us lunch, which he had made himself! A sandwich we’ll never forget; it was incredibly delicious. Next, we visited Buduruwagala Rock Carvings, where the owner introduced us to Buddhism. The place was surrounded by nature – trees, plants, birds – pure enjoyment. We thought we were heading back to the hotel, but nothing could be further from the truth. We visited real monks, where we received blessings and a white bracelet from an elderly monk. They also offered us boiled corn – so tasty! After the visit, we continued back to the hotel. On the way, we ran into a friend of the owner, who invited us to their home. When we arrived, the whole family was there to meet us. What kind and friendly people! They offered us tea and chocolate biscuits, and my girlfriend even received a gift! It gave us such a happy feeling, something we will cherish forever. ❤️ Then it was time to head back to the hotel – or so we thought. Instead, we went elephant spotting! Yes, you read that right – real wild elephants! It got quite late, but we spotted several wild animals, including both a male and female elephant. This, too, will stay with us forever.

The host and friends were amazing. Helped with everything, even showed me around the lakes. I saw elephants at sunset at the lake and the birdlife in the morning was amazing. Food was great by the hosts also!

Spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed and pillows. We have been in Sri Lanka 19 days so far, staying in home stays and the food in Bindu was exceptional to us. Lovely hosts.

Lovely comfortable room. Full kitchen facilities available if required. Very comfortable seating area in the main house where a substantial Asian breakfast was served. Also seating on a verandah with beautiful views across rice paddy fields and mountains beyond. Tuktuk required from the bus stand 500 rupees. I took a tour to the nearby Budurwagala temple with the same tuktuk driver. Had a lovely morning there. 3500 rupees plus entrance fee for return ride and waiting time.. The guesthouse owner has his contact details. Would recommend both.

My stay over there at Saranga Holiday Inn was fantastic. They offered me a great seevice since from my arrival. Staff was really friendly and rooms, bathrooms were throughly cleaned. They provided us with towels and water bottles free of charge. Their wifi speed is also really amazing. Really close to Wellawaya city (walking distance) and this place is very convenient for travellers to spend the night. There were some mosquitos but they provided mosquito nets and also staff provided us a mosquito repellent vaporizer. Will visit again if I visit to Wellawaya again and i would recommend this place to anyone.

Large room, excellent bed, very good bathroom, good balcony with fantastic view, excellent breakfast and polite and service minded staff. Not the best WiFi.

Guesthouse run by an over-sympathetic family. Very comfortable new rooms. Comfortable large bed. They also prepare very good local meals. I will definitely come back to them.
