Great concept, just away from the hotels in lush gardens, not even a 10 minute walk away from the elephants in the river. If you don't fancy walking Andrew arranges free tuktuk to hotel where there's a great buffet breakfast, swimming pool, restaurant and of course the elephants that bathe various times of the day in the river. We booked the chalet which was spacious, well equipped, clean with hot water, loved it sitting on the balcony watching so many birds and animals right in front of us. Staff were so helpful and friendly, best place I stayed in Sri Lanka

It was one of the best stays in Sri Lanka. In the middle of the jungle. We really loved to stay with family. It was the most authentic staying that we had in Sri Lanka. the kids (2 years and 5 years), are still talking about their home in srilanka in the middle of the jungle, they loved to spend time with grandmom ( she taught them one song, and we must singing every day ) and their tuk tuk driver, which was the best driver at alll srilanka. we recommend to all families to spent time in jungle homestay.

What a lovely warm welcome. Dunisha not only runs a wonderfully positioned hotel (right beside a river with wild monkeys passing through each morning) but he cooks too! The food he made for us was personalised, creative and delicious. Very delicious! Our room was very comfortable and anything we wanted he was happy to provide. If we passed through the area again, we'd definitely stay there. Very affordable accommodation and cheap but exceptional dinner. Great value for money!

Staying at this hotel was one of the best decisions I made during my trip to Kandy! The owner and his family were incredibly friendly, warm, and always ready to help with anything I needed. Their hospitality truly made me feel like part of the family. The hotel itself was spotless and very well-maintained. It offers excellent service at a very affordable price – absolutely the best value for money in the area. I was also able to rent a bike, car, and even a three-wheeler at very cheap rates, which made getting around Kandy so convenient. The location is perfect too – peaceful, surrounded by nature, with the most stunning view and a calm, cool climate throughout the day. It’s an ideal spot for anyone looking to relax and enjoy some quiet time. And I must mention the breakfast . it was incredible! Honestly, one of the best meals I had in Kandy. Fresh, delicious, and full of authentic flavors. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Kandy .I’ll definitely be coming back!
