Beautiful spot! Very quiet, clean, lovely room and bathroom. Beautiful garden. Very good food, staff super friendly. You can lend a bicycle to get to the wonderful beach. Downstairs room have airconditioning, my room on the first floor didn't so it was pretty hot. The owner told me they will put in airco in all the rooms.

"Amazing Stay at Dune Towers – A Perfect Getaway!" We had such a great time at Dune Towers and I can't recommend it enough! Staff was so welcoming and friendly. The location is stunning – quiet beach. The rooms were super comfortable, clean, and really well-designed, whole resort felt very peaceful and private, perfect for relaxing. The chef made some of the best seafood we’ve ever had, and the staff was always happy to adjust the menu for us. Even they arranged a roof-top dinner, so we were watching sunset into the Indian Ocean. We loved the pool with slide.

The place was beautiful and the owner was so lovely. The rooms are pretty basic but they are clean and smell amazing. The owner is so helpful and the food was delicious. There aren’t windows but the net over the bed kept the mosquitos out. We really enjoyed our stay. Kalpitiya is pretty spread out but we had a motorbike so got around okay.

We had a great stay as a family with Meryl. The homestay is in a relaxed setting a block from the beach. The rooms are beautifully clean with great little sitting areas outside and a hammock hanging from the trees. We ate great rice and curry every lunch from their restaurant. The highlight however was the kitesurfing lessons from Meryl- he is a fantastic teacher and took us from beginners to being able to be pulled along / standing up! His teaching method is great, he is incredibly patient - and I would recommend him without hesitation - we will be back!!

I could have never imagined such a wonderful place for my stay in Sri Lanka. Arrived at Susantha's place to learn kitesurfing for one week and then I was supposed to travel another 3. I canceled all my plans and stayed at Sun Wind Beach. Kitesurfing. It FELT LIKE HOME, but a sort of special home where you get really immersed in the Sri Lankan way of living, being, leaving all worries apart. From wonderful company always, with exchanges that make you grow, to meeting people that are drifted by similar curiosities, and then enjoying your beach hut in a green tropical garden, hidden by palm trees and refreshed by the wind, waiting for another cooking masterpiece of Susantha's mother, be it breakfast or dinner or lunch. Whether you are SOLO TRAVELING or IN COUPLE, I could not think of a better place to experience the AUTHENTIC Sri Lankan way of living or meeting people that will inspire you, become your friends. It is also the only place in Kalpitiya that is FULLY BUILT and RUN by LOCAL KITESURFERS. Just listen to Susantha's story of how he discovered kiteboarding, of how his life changed when opening this resort, of all the (extended) family-work that made this place possible (such as his grand mother braiding the palm tree leaves that are now the rooftops of the beach huts) One more thing to share, the KITESURFING LESSONS. I am not a sports person, but Susantha and his team were not only able to teach me how to do it, but also to make me ENJOY IT in such a way that I DREAM OF KITES AND DOWNWINDERS. So patients, so eager to make all their students succeed. When something went wrong with kite control (which happens a lot at first), it was a reason to laugh about and try again. Persevere until the end, that's the mindset they transmit. And they stay with you, teaching you, rescuing you, until you become independent. During my stay, I also met some of his ex-students, so happy to be back in this special place, still so connected to Susantha and his team.

Definitely worth going!!! The owners are super helpful. We felt like at home. You can rent scooter from them in a really good money! It was so easy to move around thanks to that!!! They served us delicious breakfasts and dinners (amazing rice with seafood)! Amazing spot close to kalpitya beach for kitesurfing. Just keep in mind that in budget room you don't have a hot water :) for us budget was okay :)

We had such a great time at Ruuk Village! It is off the beaten path, but within an incredible nature at a beautiful beach. We had a lovely wooden cabana with open air bathroom which was clean and equiped with everything you need. But the best was the staff: they welcomed us preparing a private dinner at the wooden walkway over the lagoon, made delicious food (responding special wishes), organized memorable trips and even brought us to a doctor when needed. We really felt at home, couldn't have been better. Thank you for generating these unforgetable experience!

This new place is really wonderful, we enjoyed so much our 5 nights there. Roshan is the best host, he has built this place with taste and intelligence. He wants you to have a good experience, but also knows about privacy. The place is very close to the beach, walking distance.
