Spotless bedroom with great view across the river. Great authentic Sri Lankan food, cooked to local heat levels, which suits me as a British born Sri Lankan plus my sudu family. :) Great trek through jungle with Pradeep & really nice to talk to his elder brother Saman.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sinharaja Vini Villa. The location is beautiful next to the river and close to Sinharaja Forrest reserve. It's so peaceful, nice place to relax. The hosts are such a lovely family, very welcoming. All the family are involved in running the homestay. We also had dinner there, the portions are generous, and also beautiful fresh fruit juices. To walk in Sinharaja forest you need a guide as paths are not clearly marked, our host arranged a guide for the day hike, and was very kind as we arrived back late (we took ages with taking photos) and we were able to shower and freshen up, and had complimentary fruit juice before our onward journey. Our shoes got really muddy, and our host kindly washed them, and dried them for us. Also the accommodation can arrange you transport with good safe drivers. Would certainly recommend staying there, especially if you love a quiet time, nature and Forrest.

Homeowner and his wife are great and very clean. Helped us with everything, like find a tour guide and transportation. The food was great, especially the breakfast!! Great place and hosting, highly recommended.

Nice,spacious, clean rooms. Very hospitable host. Had long & enjoyable chats with him. The cook who doubles as the general worker is extremely helpful & ever smiling - always around to help us carry bags or serve us tea.

Beautiful accomodation in the jungle. Very spacious (including a little living room with table, chairs and sofa), plus a great view of the river. The owner is a super guide (he will spot you a bug on a leaf and he knows his birds).

The place was incredible, one of our favourites stays in Sri Lanka. They were very flexible with us with the tor schedule (because we only had one day to did it) and very fair with the prices. The room was very clean and the swimming pool amazing!

We really appreciated our time at Sunil’s place, the view was amazing and you are surrounded by jungle. The first night he took us on a night walk to look out for wildlife ! We had dinners, lunches and breakfasts with his family and every meal was different and so delicious ! We visited Sinharaja with Sunil, he is a famous bird guide in the area and we weren't disappointed by his eye for wildlife. He is incredible ! His knowledge and understanding of the bird sounds is crazy. We walked for about 14 kms and saw many lizards, snakes, birds, dragonflies, butterflies and monkeys. We shared a lovely time together, being connected with nature and wildlife. We really recommend this place for those who love wildlife. Thank you so much for our stay !
