The property was clean, a short walk to the beach and very close to several convenience stores. The property was also very beautifully decorated outside with flowers and fairy lights. It was clear that the owners took pride in the property and they themselves were very friendly — they offered us free drinks and food and were generally very kind when giving advice regarding taxis and getting to the beach.

The hostel is nice end worth for the price. The real gem is the bar run by the hosts at 1F. Just Amazing, the hosts have vinyl collection, when your order you can also chose 3 songs, no matter what only rule is hip hop, rap and elttronic music (dance, edm, tecno ecc) are not allowed. The bue run from 8pm to 12pm and I think everybody should go and enjoy the selection.

The location was the main feature for me. I was in Gangneung for the New Year's Day sunrise and I could see it from my window in my room. The check in was very easy, the room was cozy and warm, the facilities were clean. There was a strong food smell in the dining area but I was never really inside of it (just passing by). I did not eat breakfast at the hotel as I was already out before sunrise to see the sunrise. But everyone was very kind to me. I was certainly the only non-Korean person in the hotel and they were all kind to me.

It's quite far from town but that was why I picked it. There are some restaurants and cafes close by and a convenience store that's just about walkable. There are some good hiking routes nearby and it's really peaceful at night. An old lady was so happy to see me at the bus stop one morning that she gave me money to buy a treat.

This is our second time booking this accommodation! We came 2 years ago and the host was so kind and helpful so we decided to book again this time! He helps to arrange all our ski needs from lessons to equipment/attire rentals! He also brings us to local restaurants and the food are all very yummy!

The room was so cozy and warm (which I was worried about in the winter!). Looks as described (if not better). Only a few rooms in the place so it's nice and quiet. The host added me on WhatsApp so we could easily communicate and she gave great recommendations for ski hire! We also drove and the parking is off-road and on the property. No issues with the roads being icy.
