The room was big, super comfy and quietly beautiful. The lighting is experience done and the area the Ryokan is located in is quiet. It is perfect to relax and recover from sightseeing during the day The bedding on traditional tatami provided ample room. Service was very good and there staff were forthcoming. The bathing facilities are beautiful and as they are open to the public, I was able to follow the example on how to use facilities correctly. The restaurant on premise also has beautiful tatami flooring and heated floors. We only took breakfast once, but it was very delicious and filling. Overall an exceptional experience that exceed the expectations in every way.

It was our second visit to Mr. Koni and what can i say more. This is my favorite place in all Japan. I felt like I was visiting someone close. We joked that it wasn’t our host, but the family :) I loved our breakfast, conversations and karaoke. I hope that we will back to Kyoto one day.
