I would highly recommend! There was a very homely atmosphere. The dinner was perfect and enough food for 2 days! Rooms were specious with a view on the stream. Next to the accommodation is a beautiful park with multiple footbaths and the street to the centre is filled with souvenir shops and unique eats. The staff were real accommodating, especially the hostes was exceptionally welcoming, sweet and lovely! The in-house onsen and sauna was extremely relaxing. 11 out of 10!

Staff at checkin location is sweet n helpful!. Nice little house, spacious with amenities supplied. Good acidic onsen with glass window overloong the canopy of trees. Heater provided in one of the rooms. There is a patio with sliding see through panels where one can sit and enjoy the view and not be attacked by bugs. Further down of the patio, steps take you to a platform where there's a picnic table right next to tree tops.windows all tipical japanese style with 3 sliding types of panels for light, netting and dark out louvres to keep the 4am light out of the bedrooms.. sheets very soft and clean. Clothes drying equipment very good in the room with the heater. Location of house is convenient if you have a car. Easy access to Yobatake and combini nearby

The showa villa exceeded our expectations by a large margin. You can easily stay there for a week. Large kitchen, living room and dining table. Very comfortable beds. 3 toilets and a private onsen! Family run Izakaya about a 10 min walk away. Convenience store similar distance.

Amazing stay at this ryokan fully furnished , there was an amazing onsen in the room and 3 other onsens to use in the ryokan. The people working here are really welcoming and helpful ! Few things to know : the onsen water keeps flowing during the night which can disturb a little bit the sleep + there is a hill to go to the village but it is managable. Highly recommend for a great time in Kusatsu
