This was a great ryokan at a good price! We really enjoyed our stay here, and the staff was very helpful. We even got welcome beans at check in. We had a big room with tatami mats and futons, and a low table with chairs. The room also had a toilet and washing room, but you had to use the public or private onsen to shower. That was more than fine for us, as we really enjoyed the private onsen. There is no booking system, you can just use it when it is available.

Beautiful house with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay for several days. A real entertainer's home with nice little touches, like a charcoal burner room, kotatsu in the living room, guitar and entertainment system. There was also a washing machine, full bath, BBQ outside, and full kitchen with condiments. If I am in Mt Aso again I will stay here.

A great experience of Japanese rural lifestyle accommodation with a field and a park nearby. It was a joy sleeping on the tatami with a really cozy comforter in a delicate washitsu (和室). There is also a telescope you can use to observe the stars. The host thoughtfully prepared a small gift and turned on the heater before we arrived. Everything was perfect! :D Highly recommended if you are traveling by car! :D
