The property is a gem and a bit quirky, which suited us well. The rooftop bar was a nice surprise but the in house elevator was the icing on the cake. The rooms were furnished luxuriously. Our family had a wonderful time by the pool and garden

I just loved this place. I was traveling around south kerala with no plan and my bus was late.. however they waited for me and offered me a delicious dinner. the location is so quiet and the views of the lake are amazing... My plan was staying just one night, but i couldn't get enough of this marvelous place, wanted to wake up with this views for some more days...so I extended my stay..do not miss it if you are around and need some days of relax...!

I had a wonderful stay with a warm, welcoming family! I was well taken care of throughout my visit. The room was cozy and clean, and the food was absolutely amazing. They provided plenty of information and recommendations on where to go and what to do—from a morning boat tour to kayak and bicycle rentals, plus laundry facilities, everything you need was available. Keep in mind that the homestay is a bit remote, further from the main river, but I found this to be an advantage. It allowed me to rent a kayak and explore the small canals easily. Additionally, the homestay is within walking distance from the train station—if you choose to walk, follow the road near the temple.

Lovely family, very friendly, and made a special effort to celebrate Christmas Day with us. Also made a huge effort to get us fishing when their friends’ plan changed and he couldn’t take us - they went to many shops to buy hooks, and made rods out of wood - it was amazing fun and they really made us get the most out of Munroe island.

We had a very, very nice stay with the family. They are incredibly warm, caring, and attentive. Breakfast and dinner are freshly prepared and very tasty! My friend got sick and we were able to stay longer without any problems. They drove us to the hospital and took great care of us. We highly recommend the family and the homestay! Thank you very much!
