Margaret was an unbelievably kind and courteous host, with a sharp wit and a great penchant for a good story. She was extremely helpful in getting my wife and I set up for our two night stay whilst we were working at a wedding nearby. Her full Irish breakfast was fantastic and hit the spot on both mornings! No doubt we will be back again.

Everything was perfect, we rented the apartment with private bathroom, the bathroom on the 1st floor was newly renovated and had everything we needed. Bedrooms were clean and beds comfortable. The kitchen was on the groundfloor and was fully furnished, the sitting room was small but cozy and had a tv with Netflix. The view from the window was great and the neighbourhood is lovely. We were welcomed by The Helm employee and he was very polite and recommended us a few places to see around Westport which was just what we needed. He also booked us in for dinner later that evening and let me tell you - fish and chips at The Helm was great!

The basic welcome pack was much appreciated. We had access to two bedrooms with ensuites, if required. Accommodation was fully equipped and instructions well defined. Mary booked us into the local Tavern. It was an easy walk and served excellent meals. Sat Nav in car took us to the property.

Great property, lovely decorated, sea view included, we loved everything about this except the check in instructions which were long and non informative. We were left waiting in the rain because nobody told us to check in through the hotel reception. Better communication would be recommended

Loved everything! It is directly situated next to a N-road, making it perfect for travellers, and there was plenty of space to park, the rooms were lovely cream-colored and the decoration in the living room was breathtaking. The house and garden give only a glimpse of the beauty that you find inside. It is obvious that the Hosts love doing what they do, as the breakfast has a wide array of homemade foods available that are lovingly arranged.
