Nice location off the main road in view of the Slieve Bloom mountains near Birr town. Welcomed by Carmel and offered fresh milk for the tea facilities in the room. Medium-sized room but good for the price. Warm and peaceful, very comfortable bed. Delicious healthy breakfast.

Breakfast was basic but all that one would ever need. She made us feel very comfortable as we were able to use the kitchen as our own. She was super friendly and joined us for some great conversations while there. We met her one awesome son as well who joined us and it felt like a family get together.

BRILLIANT WHOLE HOUSE with lovely host Ann - DO NOT MISS OUT ON THIS GEM! The place is EXTREMELY SPACIOUS with free parking, and a beautiful back garden (we even picked fresh raspberries from the garden). Fresh scones waiting for us were an extra treat along with a nice chat with the host, Ann, who lives next door. Close to lots of interesting places and shops for essentials. Bathroom has a shower with EXCELLENT water pressure and temperature as well as a bath and soft towels and bathroom heater. Washing machine and dryer available for use inside the house were a HUGE PLUS. Dishwasher and stove top and oven with a fully equipped kitchen. Sheets and duvets, pillows etc were all good quality, with soft cotton cases. Note: no TV, but lots of games and puzzles available. WONDERFUL PLACE TO UNWIND AND RELAX IN GENUINE COMFORT. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
