Kevin, our host was absolutely brilliant. He help me a lot during my stay. The view from the Homestay was amazing, overlooking the rice field and the mountains. Not too far from the city centre. Breakfast was very good and Kevin make me feel at home.

The family was very kind and Yansen was great guide. Yansen showed us all the interesting places around Rantepao and shared his personal knowledge and experiences about the culture which was super interesting. Staying in a tongkonan is a once in a lifetime experience, Aldi and his family do their best to make sure you have a pleasant stay in their homestay, i had a good time. This special place is not far from Rantepao, but in the countryside, so the atmophere is quiet and relaxed, i even had the chance to have real indonesian/toraja dinner and breakfast with them. You can also have a glimpse of real toraja life when they show you how they feed their animals or collect the local beverage from the trees.

The room is clean, comfortable and conviently located. The family is so helpful, caring and firendly. Mr Daud, the owner and an anthropologist, is amazing at sharing his passion and knowledge about his torajan culture during the tours he organises. I had the chance to participate to a funeral ceremony with him and I can not thank him enough for all his explanations, for showing me around off beaten paths, making me feel welcome amongst the locals.

Hendrik, the owner of the homestay and Junes, his nephew were amazing! They were my guides during my stay in Rantepao. I learned so much about this very interesting culture of the Toraja people and saw some amazing places. The homestay is a little out of the town. But Hendrik is a realy good chef and can make a delicious local meal for you! Everything in the room is clean and in the bathroom you have a warm shower! Loved it! Thank you both!

I would suggest everybody travelling to Toraja to spend few days here! Everything here was so perfect that I even do not know where to start. Owner of the homestay was one of the most helpful man I have ever met. He helped us with the transport to Toraja, to rent a scooter and most importantly, he was our guide and showed us some really awsome ceremonies in Toraja. Also his wife can make the best pancakes for the breakfast. We only stayed there for 4 nights but we could easily spend here more then 10 nights, as we felt really welcomed and Toraja is really unique place, where every day is new advanture. The best place that I have visited during my trip to Indonesia!

We had a great time here. We spent three nights here and the owner Wila is truly a fantastic person. Wila is also a very good guide, he knows everything about the beautiful and special culture of Toraja. We were lucky to experience the traditional funeral ceremony which for us was a very impressive experience. Wila also took us too all the graves and other amazing places around Rantepao. Wila also knows the best places for a good lunch and dinner. Wila can also prepare a very good and nice cop of coffee whats also very important! I had a great time with Wila and i hope we'll meet again. Mama Paulien and grandma are also very warm and pleasant persons and we're glad that we've meet them. Thanks for everything Wila!
