Xanthi is super hospitable & very responsive, making for a very welcoming stay in a peaceful part of town. Pictures of accommodation are true to reality. A lovely apartment with good modern facilities for longer stays, to include a good quality Bosch washing machine and a clothes drying rack on the balcony. Sliding mosquito nets on the sliding patio doors work well, meaning no insect problems in the apartment. The bathroom mirror lighting is more atmospheric than functional for makeup. I noted a previous reviewer also stated this, so I took a portable mirror for applying makeup at the large dining table which worked well. Apartment cleaning and change of bed sheets and towels were every 4 days. Wi-fi was good throughout our stay. Free on-site car park for guests makes easy accessibility when hiring a car. The lake is approximately 20 minutes walk away, as is Almyros beach. 2 good supermarkets within walking distance. During our stay, there was a free city bus every 30 minutes from the morning to 11pm which we discovered near the end of our stay. We found this to arrive at the bus stops near the apartment on the hour and half past the hour in the morning, however later in the evening to be 10 minutes past and 40 minutes past the hour (presumably delays throughout the day add up). A taxi from the taxi rank near the lake to the apartment was €6.00 (any time of day or night). Highly recommended.

This cute and cozy apartment was a great size, with one balcony facing the lively (but not too loud) city street and another facing the beautiful lake and its surrounding restaurants/hotels/shops. It was in an excellent location, just steps away from the closest restaurants, a few minutes from shops, and a few more minutes to the beach. Maria was an excellent hostess that went above and beyond. She took the time to familiarize us to the area and recommend her favorite nearby restaurants and beaches. She always asked us how things were going whenever we saw her and offered assistance as needed. I even asked her about nearby parking, and she saved us a spot right in front of the building upon our arrival! It was not expected but very greatly appreciated. We can’t wait to come back again, hopefully soon! Ευχαριστούμε Μαρία!

We had a fantastic stay, views were amazing. Restaurants and cafes nearby and short stroll along promenade to main centre of Ag Nik. Popi was lovely and very helpful throughout our stay. Would definitely stay here again!!

We really enjoyed our few days at this apartment. The location, right on the waters edge, was amazing! The family was so welcoming, with a gift of cake and the owner booking a restaurant for us. The property has a small bar on the sea where we enjoyed our ice-cold beer. It closes at night so that eliminated any noise. The apartment was pristinely clean and well equipped. We loved that it was a little way outside the hectic touristy part of town. Plenty of parking, too.

Wonderful little appartment. The decor is very charming and it is located in a nice area, close to Voulisma Beach, which is beautiful. A little easier if you have a car to move around, but there are frequent buses from the bus stop that is located a few minutes walk from the apartment. Great communication with the owner as well (thank you so much!). II would definitely come back!
