Kasa was extremely comfortable, modern, and well-designed. Food portions were very generous, excellent wifi, and there was also free drinking water (instead of having to buy small bottles all the time). Ana helped with planning my hikes and organizing a guide. It's not too long a walk to Paul to catch the aluguers though it's important to keep in mind the island is huge and it takes time and money to get around. I regretted moving to another area b/c I really loved my stay here.

The staff was incredible. We had to leave very early to catch the boat and the staff brought our breakfast in the evening for the morning. Really nice of them. The apartment was big and clean. We had two rooms. Perfect location and beautiful surroundings.

Casa Sams is an excellent place to discover the North-Eastern part of Santo Antao. The location is very convenient in the "centre"of Villa das Pombas and at the entrance of the Paul valley. Some small shops and restaurants are nearby. Daily evening life and tired hikers can nicely be observed from the balcony. The apartment itself is enormous (app 75m2) and spotlessly clean. The breakfast provided is copious,, In fact it was too much for us. Bernardo and Sandrina are very pleasant and forthcoming hosts. You can always knock on their door if you have a question or need.

We pretty much liked everything about this place. The appartment, we rented, was basic and yes the water could have flowed more plentyful, but..... the warmth, kindness and openness of the hosts was so amazing that you gladly accept a few little things. If you are interested in interacting with the hosts, they are very open. If you're not interested, that's also accepted without questions. When you find the shortcut to the house, it's easy to reach on foot, but follow the road to get there the first time or you may get lost a couple of times. Adding to this, we had dinner at the guesthouse every evening. The quality and the freshness was simply amazing - and so were the quantities. Fresh fish and local vegetables and dishes - we simply haven't had it better anywhere in Cabo Verde so far.
